or mineral oil? I was just reading up on it and lanolin can cause red, swollen and itchy eyelids which I've been getting really badly. It also said that hypoallergenic makeup, which I've also been using (clinique) can cause this as it contains lanolin, I've just checked and it does. I tried no makeup today and just used E45 cream but I just checked that also, and it contains lanolin too!! So maybe even thats been causing my problems. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can use, ie, moisturisers and makeup. I hear that water based, lanolin free, light coloured and matt makeup is best? But which makes? I get married in June and I really want to get to the root of this problem before then. Thanks
Does anyone know of any skin care / make up products which are water based and don't contain lanolin......
I think Boots No7 range is. HAve you tried the bodyshop, and Liz Earl products, Lanolin is sheep sweat not many people know that,
Reply:You may want to try Ayurvedic treatments they are pretty natural

My boyfriend has a severe skin rash?
The rash is on both his legs close to genital area, its red, itchy, yellowish cheesy discharge and has a very bad odor, sometimes burns and sometimes painful urination. He has used anti-fungal medication for over a week with no improvement and is using neosporin cream which he says feels better but is not going away. Does anyone know what it could be? He is a truck driver, is there a toll free number he can call for medical advice?

This could be a number of various things . . . and the one that comes to mind is an STD (I hate to mention this knowing he is your boyfriend %26amp; I don't want to put things in your head that he's cheating on you). The only reason is because of the painful urination, which could also be a UTI.
Yeast (also a fungal infection) is a very hard thing to get rid of, that could be why the anti-fungal cream is not effective. Keep the area clean %26amp; dry, and perhaps he should visit his doctor for a prescription.
If he doesn't go to the doc, you should get yourself checked out just in case he has transfered something to you.
Reply:sounds really nasty
god help him
Reply:Syphilis. Go to the doctor asap before he dies. That stuff is deadly, and get yourself checked out too...if you dont have it and he does... Someones been getting some at those nasty truck stops.
Reply:i suggest that your boyfriend has to seek for a proffesional medical advice regarding that matter before things get worse.
Reply:he needs to go see a Dermatologist before the rash gets any worse.
Reply:if there is an odor it pretty much rules out a yeast infection. Sounds like your boyfriend has an std honey. He'd better get to a doctor asap.

Anyone have this on their skin?
There is a sore-like spot on my jawline..it looks like a burn but is very itchy. It is a small, very slightly raised in a ring, like a spot right on my jawline. When I itch it, it hurts the back of my head , like a pain shooting there. I use foundation %26amp; concealer, could that be it? Although I have been using both for a long time, could this be the cause? Anyone have this problem?

It sounds like ringworm. You might want to get with your dermatologist a little sooner.
Reply:I think you should see a dermatologist!
Reply:it does sound like a ringworm, but sometimes certain skin conditions do look that way. just wait on your derm, they should be able to do a scraping and find out exactly what it is.

Little white spots under the skin of my vagina lips?
they're not itchy or irritable
it can't be an STD
any ideas what it is?
Little white spots under the skin of my vagina lips?
Could be genital warts. Could be pimples. If you have had unprotected sex, it is worth having anything unusuall down there looked at by your gyno.
Reply:I have had them as long as I can remember....my gyno said they are prefectly normal and just more visible on some women than others.
Reply:You need to go to your doctor because no one can give you an answer here. Diagnostic testing has to be done. Even if it does not cause any symptoms now it can progress into something serious. Getting an early diagnosis increases chances of sucessful treatment for almost everything in the book.
Reply:These little spots have probably been there for quite a while, and you have only just noticed them. If they are not itchy, and are constant, and are small smooth rounded swellings just under the skin, then these are probably retention cysts or sebaceous cysts. They are not due to any disease process. They are quite common and do not do any harm.
Getting rid of them is not easy, they will not go with just putting on a cream. They sometimes disappear on their own, but if they are persistent or get troublesome, then they need to be removed under a local anaesthetic.
I would encourage you at the moment to try and forget about them if you can, and just wait and see what happens. If they bother you or change in any way, or you want something done about them, then you will need to go and see your doctor.

Uhh..this is a kind of weird question...but my nipples are itchy?
Like, I mean, it sounds stupid, but it's getting unbearable...and like I'm scratching to the point where it breaks the skin =\ Anyone know what's wrong?
Uhh..this is a kind of weird question...but my nipples are itchy?
I get that too, my doctor told me it is related to my hormones cycle. You have to check if it happens more often when you are ovulating or when you are close to your period. check with you gynecologist, I only get the itchy in one breast. Hope this helps you, do check it, it may be something else and you need to catch it early!!
Reply:maybe it's dry skin, try some lotion.
Reply:It could be the clothes you are wearing. Bought any new clothes lately? Or it could be something you ate, somethign you are allegic to. Try to recall. If not, consult a doctor.
Reply:this sounds stupid, but it could be your detergent. try one without dyes or perfumes for a while and see if that helps. could be your soap, shampoo, or body wash too. check out these simple things first before you start to freak out too badly.
Reply:Probably just dry skin. Try Lansinoh cream. Breastfeeding mothers use it. It's only about $10 at walmart.
Reply:Have you tried a new laundry detergent? Since a bra is so close to the skin, it is possible that you are getting irritation. Try some of the "free %26amp; clear" brands....
The only other thing I could think of is potential for yeast to grow if you perspire a lot.
Reply:When I was on SSSI's my bones itched
you on medication, or changed washing powder recently?
Reply:Eczema- the itch that rashes.
This is eczema.

All the above types of eczema will itch and cause redness. Some of them are not dry, but weep. Some types peel and form blisters. Reply:Mine got that way when I changed laundry detergent.
Reply:..........no...sounds painful. I bet you have some kind of fungus of some sort on your nips. Go to the pharmacy at your local drug store, and they'll be able to point out a cream or lotion that will help until you make it to your doctors appt.
Reply:It could be all the answers above regarding allergies, but odds are your bio clock is in overdrive and your hormones are racing. It's common.....don't freak.

Why is my neck/chest skin so sensitive?
After showering, there are red blotches all over, I sometimes get acne, very rarely it gets sort of slick like your face after 7-10 hours.
(this is above my breasts)
When i scratch or rub my chest it automatically turns red (like sunburn) for a few hours.
If I dont touch it, it isnt itchy, but the slightest thing touching it like a shirt makes it itch!
sometimes (after being in the sun) or other times you can REALLY see the hair follicles like i have goosebumps or something.
lotions make it break out, and gets rashes like hickeys
Help! what can i do?? it hate this!
Why is my neck/chest skin so sensitive?
dermatographia is the name of the condition happening to your skin after you scratch it. Its a cousin of hives. Actually, all of your symptoms seem to be related to hives. You probably have skin that is sensitive to many different things and would be better off using some detergent that is for sensitive skin (if you haven't tried this already).
Reply:Well it might be thta you have little bugs in your bed i have had this happen before but talk to a doc!
