Eww!!! What are these?! They're some sort of skin allergy/rash?

I'm 16 and I would get these tiny red dots all over my leg (and just my leg) every month. It's horrible! It's always unbearably itchy which makes it worse. Sometimes they get inflamed and i feel a burning sensation. Half of them are just flat... itchy red dots (no its not chicken pox) and half of them are bumpy like (kind of like a mosquitoe bite but its not) and in the middle is a tiny hole. Look for yourself.

Dermatitis ... you are getting into something like poison iv y or you have food allergies ...

I have that rash, too ...

go see an allergist ... you do NOT want to see the list of food I would recommend you to avoid (includes wheat, dairy, shellfish, etc.)

mine flares up when I eat thai curry b/c of the shrimp paste ...
Reply:you need to go to the Dr and have these checked out!
Reply:I believe you have hives.

Reply:sounds like chiggers..have you been in grass, woods etc...by being on your legs only you think of crawling insects etc...

possibly fleas or scabies.

could be allergic rxn to socks or detergent..but should be where rest of your clothes touch too?
Reply:It looks like poison ivy or poison oak. Have you been out in the forest? Do you have pets with fleas? I would get to a dermatologist, quickly! If it itches that badly.
Reply:I can see from the picture that you sent that it must be a contact dermatitis. This happen when any surface, like your socks, water or any allergen for that matter get in contact with your skin. In your case, your foot. The itchiness is cause by the allergic reaction. You can wash your feet daily and put dry and clean socks when needed. You may as well apply any anti itch cream like dermovate or probably you can take in some anti- histamines which you can just buy in any drug house, over the counter. :)
Reply:This looks like an allergic rash. Is it possible that your house has flea's? (maybe a pet in the past had them and the pet is no longer in the house?) Typically if a flea has an animal to bite, they don't bite humans but if the animal is removed and they are hungry... they will bite humans.

That flea thing is just a guess but it totally looks like an allergic rash. You really should go to the doctor as they can give you something to make you more comfortable and maybe they can figure out what the allergy is.
Reply:It looks like it's in your sock area - maybe you are allergic to the rubber/laytex used in the socks? There is an elastic thread they use on the ankles of socks to keep them up. You should try wearing a different brand, maybe all cotton for a month to see if it helps that go away.

Also, seeing a doctor for this would be a good idea.
Reply:go see an allergist ... if your parents don't take you, they either have crappy insurance or are clueless ...
Reply:Its hard to say what this might be . . . In order of likelihood: atopic dermatitis or allergic reaction caused by wearing something that irtitates you skin; fungal infection (Tinea or Candidiasis), or some type of herpetic infection (similar to cold sores - not the STD).

I am having a skin problem, please help me or recommend a good product!?

The condition starts off as small, dry looking, itchy bumps (a bunch of them, only on my thighs and calves). And then, say... a week later a small ring appears, but it gets bigger... and then more ringers appear near the first right... it gets really bad... and it eventually goes away. Say, I would have a bunch of them, and then I wake up in the morning and it is completely gone. What is it? It is not Eczema or eczema, because it doesn't look like that. It looks more like a scabby ringworm.

Oh, and the last one that I had five months ago, left a dark sport on my thigh! :( What is this crap?!

Oh, and lotion doesn't help either. If I put too much on, the thingies get raw and it hurts like hell.

If it is Ring worm, Iodine will stop it, this is what a doctor will use. You should see a doctor anyway if you can't take care of it.
Reply:anew!
Reply:oooooh! id call the doctor. it may be a kind of ring worm. contagious too.
Reply:use magic cream
Reply:go see your dermatologist ASAP!
Reply:You should definitely go see a doctor!
Reply:Do we look like dermatologists? I suggest you go see one if your havin those types of skin problems. DUH!

For months now my skin itches, how do I stop it?

I have tried everything over the counter, change to products with no dyes or purfumes, allergy pills, even tried lice stuff to make sure it wasn't a parasite. Anything they have at the drug store I tried. I get a small itchy rash bump that looks like a heat rash only it is on different parts of my body. it itches night and day. cort10 does not slow it down, I need some relief. The Dr said to go to a dermatoligst, I have no insurance. Has anyone experienced this and found relief?

If the doctor would write you a script for a steroid cream, I found that to stop the itching when nothing else works. It's stronger than what we can buy over the counter. Can't use it for a long time, but it may take care of the problem.

If you haven't already tried oatmeal or baking soda soaks in the bathtub, I'd give them a try. I think the baking soda works the best, just put a cup or 2 in a warm bath, soak for 15 minutes or so.

Good Luck, this has to be sooo annoying!
Reply:omg it really sucks i have been living with this for about 2 years now I WENT TO A DERMATOLOGIST and they said it looks to be eczema and gave all kinds of med to try will guess what they did not help eeeeerrrrrrrrr its not eczema I'm pretty sure about that because like you said there are little spots all over not alot in one spot the only thing that helps even alittle is baby oil(gel) and lotion after a bath or shower every time and don't take as long of showers and bath and not to hot good luck and let me know if you find some thing else

Help me with my skin this is urgent, I HAVE TO GO TO A party in 2 days!!!!?

The problem is that my armpits are red (on the inside) and it looks like they have mosquito bites all over them but I don't! They are also really itchy and if I keep itching them they get worse and then they feel sore. When I put on anti-itch cream they burn for like 10 mins. but then the feel fine, but I want them to look normal. What do I do? Is this normal? Do I ave a sickness? Help? =[

Sounds like a reaction to shaving. Try applying hydrocortisone instead of the anti-itch cream and see if that works better. You might even alternate the two.

Applying ice packs under your arms might help alleviate the pain and discomfort. I suggest calling a pharmacist to check the advice about the hydrocortisone and the Benadryl cream (anti-itch) and also to see if that can give better advice.

As far as the party is concerned, if at all possible plan on wearing something that doesn't reveal your armpits so that you can give them time to heal. The only other thing that comes to mind is to avoid deodorant as much as possible to give your skin more time to heal without having a bunch of different irritants on it.

Ensure that your razor blade is new when shaving and use a good shave cream. If you find that you break out after shaving, use aloe vera or even Neosporin and baby powder. You may need to see your doctor if the condition worsens. I do know that if you try to cover it with it still being very irritated that you will probably make matters worse. Good Luck and enjoy the party. Remember you have to roll with the punches sometimes so don't allow this to ruin your plans.
Reply:Hey,

Thanks for that!! The party was great NO ONE NOTICED!!!!

You suggestion worlked but I called my doctor and she told me that what you said helps but theres something that helps even more!!!

Bye,

Thanks,

Water is burning my skin????

I had a volleyball tournament all day today so i was sweating alot..

i got home and washed my face and some water dripped down my arms towards my elbows and it stung like heck and they turned red and splotchy.

the water wasnt burning hot or anything, just nice and warm, the normal temperature... But now im kind of afraid to shower, i dont want to have this all over my body, its really sore and itchy.

I put cortisone cream on it, but yeah, it this normal???

Water is burning my skin????
Maybe the water had chlorine in it? I'm allergic to chlorine and it makes my skin red and splotchy.
Reply:Was there something on your facial skin? maybe a product that your face is used to, but your arm skin hasn't been exposed to? Otherwise, this sounds very strange.
Reply:could be chlorine..I'm allergic too and if they put too much in the city water it burns my skin...you can actually smell it...
Reply:It sounds like a chlorine allergy. If you have city water, the chlorine levels vary on a daily basis. You can buy a chlorine filter for your shower and problem solved. They sell them in most natural food stores, I got mine on Gaiam.com

P.S. You can develop new allergies at any time in life

Pregnant or just dry skin?

I know that a sign of pregnancy can be sensative nipples but what about if they are a little itchy? Would that be considered the same as being sensative? Its been about 6 days since my partner and I had sex, trying to conceive and I wasn't sure if I could be getting any symptoms already. We were together on my most fertile day according to an ovulation calendar.

Pregnant or just dry skin?
I think it is too early to have signs of pregnancy.
Reply:my nipples started itching then hurting when I first became pregnant...that was my first sign
Reply:i have never heard of itchy nipples as a sign of early pregancy but the body does go through so many changes and is differnt for everyone, so if you experience sore boobs and tiredness also, maybe you are pregnant. good luck!!!
Reply:OMG- I am 28 wks prg and my boobs have been itching and flaking for a few weeks now. They leak because sometimes I itch so hard.

You could be. Time will tell.

Im pregnant and my skin became dry ....?

i've asked some mothers %26amp; they said that it normally gets dry and itchy..not just on the tummy..of course i have lotion to prevent it but same thing ..does it have something to do with being pregnant?

Im pregnant and my skin became dry ....?
yep

Drink more water.

Also all the neutrients go to the baby first, which means that your diet must be exellent. You need fatty acids like in avacados, olive oil and other healthy fats. This is not a time to diet. This is the time to eat your best ever. not just for your baby for for yourself.

You can't take care of those you love until you take care of yourself.

Enjoy this time of growing your baby.
Reply:Afraid so. Enjoy . Keep using the lotion.
Reply:are you taking you vitamins
Reply:yes indeed it does..

keep putting on the lotion...coco butter seem to work best for me.. but its a good idea to get ones with lots of vit. E in it.
Reply:You are probably not drinking enough water. When you don't drink enough, the body robs the skin of it first. Particularly in this heat, keep a bottle with you at all times.
Reply:Changes on your hormones...
