Allergic skin reaction after antibiotics???

I had lots of tooth trouble ending up with a surgery last month. I was put on 7 different kinds of antibiotic in 3 months, including Amoxicillin, Cephalexin and Clyndamicin. I finished last antibiotic aboout 4 weeks ago. About one week ago, I got itchy, permanent goose bump like rash on my arms and legs, coming and going. Is it possible the reaction to so many antibiotics came 3 weeks after finishing the treatment? Is my body recovering?

Allergic skin reaction after antibiotics???
I think it's unlikely that any reaction after that much time is related to the antibiotics, look for other causes.
Reply:It could be a reaction, some of the newer antibiotics are designed to stay in your system for a long time. Definitely go see your family doctor and get an opinion, because it might be something completely different. I had a similar reaction to Bactrim accompanied by a really high fever, but it happened pretty soon after I started taking it. I never actually finished the prescription. That's why I think you should definitely see your doctor. You could also have contact dermatitis. Have you gotten a new coat or other clothing recently?
Reply:I seriously doubt it was the antibiotics. The rash would have shown up while taking them not after the treatment.Did you change your laundry soap ? try a new soap?Eat something new? I would look for other causes.I am allergic to anything illin in the antibiotic family and I break out within 4 hours of taking it.
