Horrible skin rash, anyone had experience with this?

It is a red, itchy, scaly rash over most of my body. The only part not affected so far is my face. Went to my regular doctor, he did not know what was causing it, and he referred me to a dermatopogist. My appointment is in 3 weeks. The itching is driving me crazy.

Hives. you get them from being stressed out. It also could be a reaction to a new detergint or fabric softener. Lotions, body soap, food, a number of things. Good luck and happy iching
Reply:Sounds like a reaction to antibiotics, or scabbies. Stress can also cause a rash like that.
Reply:could be something like dermitis or eczema until your Dr appointment take oatmeal baths or avenno oatmeal baths and use a sensitivity lotion like avenno lotion for eczema at least try to ease the Itch till you can see your Dr hope that helps you Good luck
Reply:SOUNDS LIKE SHINGLES TO ME. WHY DONT YOU TRY RUBBING RED WHISKEY ON THE RASH. IF THE WHISKEY IS NOT COLORED IT WILL NOT WORK. I KNOW YOU THINK THIS IS CRAZY BUT TRUST ME IT WORKS ON SHINGLES AND FAST LIKE ONE TO TWO DAYS TO CURE THEM. YOU HAVE TO RUB IT ON SEVERAL TIMES A DAY . I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU BECAUSE IF ITS SHINGLES AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT THREE WEEKS THATS GOING TO BE TERRIBLE.
Reply:Just go to the emergency room at your local hospital now. This sounds like Scabies look up some advice on line and look at the pics it will simular and I am telling you you need to go to the ER
Reply:Please before you go to a dermatologist try applying 100% pure coconut oil (I recommend using Nui brand - pronounced New) can be obtained from your local health store. Nui coconut oil has anti-biotic, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. You must find out what is causing this, is it diet - eating too much processed and manufactured foods and or drinks, have you changed your laundry detergent lately? All these things should be looked into before going to a dermatologist.
Reply:I agree with Sweet Pea.I have chronic hives and have had them all over my body several times.Stress brings mine on very quickly, but how do you get away from that.I get red itchy whelts, and they are miserable.
