Irritated skin when shaving?
aftershave
Reply:wet shave in the shower use soap and a good razor not one of those cheapy plastic type take your time and rinse the blade often after your done turn the shower water cold as this will help reduce some irritation cold water on freshly shaven skin feels good then apply lotion
Reply:hmm after shave irratates me. a lotion while help with the itching jergens or something of that sort. i shave my chest and have had the same problem, the simplest solution it to keep shaving, your body is not used to it that is why it itches, and gets inflammed etc. possibly shave more often, it may enable your skin to adapt, mine certainly did, i dont use anything afterwords now and im ok.

takes a month or so to get used too. possibly longer depends on your skin.

also the friction of the blade you are using may be contacted the skin, electric shavers are a horrible way to go. the new gillete products the fusion etc. have an awesome ability to shave. they reduce friction, i know your a girl , but a blade is a blade, a soldier who is a man or a women both use the same guns, so use the same razor. men always have the better razor anyways( not bragging, its the brands)

also consider using the new gillete shaving cream( i dont work for them, they just are really good IMO) the one with the aloe etc, it helps reduce irratation drastically
Reply:Use skintimate lotionized shave gel for sensitive skin. You can get it at any drugstore. Also make sure to moisturize afterwards. I like to use lotions with Alo vera it works really well to sooth the skin. make sure your not using a heavily scented lotion that will further irritate your skin. And make sure your using a brand new sharp razer. Dull razors are no good.
