Skin Problem(red-brown spot)?
There are so many things it could be but no one, not even a doctor, can tell your friend what it is without visually seeing it. For example, it could be a birthmark, a mole, simply an area of pigmentation, etc.

I suggest you tell your friend to see a dermatologist to find out exactly what the area is and if treatment is necessary.
