Unknown skin rash?

My daughter age 9 has a rash appeared on her shoulder which looks a lot like she has been nettled. There is a group of about 15 small reddish bumps, that are itchy and sore, they were first seen nearly 4 days ago, they have not spread or changed in appearance, my daughter still feels well. School nurse advised she saw doctor, doctor today could not definately diagnose what it was and prescribed a medicene to generally stop the itch.Do you know

Unknown skin rash?
since it is isolated to the shoulder area, it sounds like its not an infectious disease. it sounds more like an allergy.
Reply:Eczema?

-Edit-

I really don't know, obviously, I'd suggest a dermatologist. She could be allergic to something around the house. My skin is terribly sensitive and will break out in a rash at more or less anything. No one knows what it is, but I haven't seen a dermatologist yet, so that'd be my only suggestion.
Reply:Then how should I know?
Reply:could be eczema
Reply:Nope.
Reply:If it isn't getting any worse or spreading to any other part of her body then she should be OK with a little caladryl lotion and time.

Good luck!
Reply:Take her to the Dr. It could be pioson Ivy or almost anything.
Reply:it cpould measles or mumps or rubella have you taken her to the doctor has she had any flu like symptoms or swollen glands if she has it could be one of those take her to the doctor immediately.
Reply:something she wore perhaps, causing irritation to the skin, she should be fine, good luck.
Reply:Could very well be insect bites my brother has a similiar situation on his legs itching and irritating do a yahoo search or google search on insect bites. If you live in forested area could be mites. Look for images that appear similiar and the page its from might have best remedy. Hope she gets better.
Reply:I'd guess it was an allergic reaction - I have had them the same as has my son but they usually go a lot quicker. Have you changed washing powder recently? Maybe you should persevere with the doctor...
Reply:If the cream your doctor doesn't work, try Aloe Vera. It cleared the eczema on my hand completely.
Reply:Well i know that very well, all my life has been treated to heal it. So here is the solution:

*Warm showers with neutral soap.

*Betametasone cream in the most irritated areas.(diprosone/shering plough)

*Caliderm cream in the rest of the body.

*If you feel anxious, Atarax or Benadryl pills.

*To mostuirize the skin all days, alloe extract, that you will find in the naturist stores.

All this is called atopic dermatitis, caused by an allergy.

All these are suggestions but please go with a dermatologist and allegorist.
