Been to the doctors twice, two diff docs, one said i think its shingles, second said bacterial skin infection, taken 2 meds, one for shingles aand antibiotic for infection, docs didn''t seem to care, don't feel any better, if anything, itchings got worse, but theres no rash or anything, all on my left side face, mainly forehead and around my eye, getting more lumps too, fairly big, but no scabs as u would get with shingles??? anyone help, gettibng desperate now, docs don't seem to care and i don't want to go back again, been going on for just over a week now

Scabs will take a while to develop on shingles ( they would be like sore, purple-ish, un-poppable zits right now), and the meds (probably acyclovir?) will only help curb an infection already in process, and only if taken in the first 72 hours. Are you sick at all? Headache, lethargy, fever? That's how I feel with a shingles outbreak, but a big lump on neck %26amp; head doesn't sound like shingles- they travel in a line along a nerve path.
Contact a pharmacy to see if your anti-biotic %26amp; the shingles meds are even compatable. Finish out the meds if they are, and go back if you don't feel better. If they aren't compatable, go back immediately %26amp; ask for lab tests(if there are any) to determine exactly what it is so you can have the appropriate course of treatment.
Reply:I understand you do not want to go back but you need to! Be firm and tell them that you are not well and that you are not happy with the treatment. They need to listen to your concerns and find out that is wrong with you. Do not be scared of doctors!!! They are there for you and if we stand up for ourselves instead of being intimidated they will do a much better job. Good luck
Reply:oh yes ...the cure for this is to bury your head in the sand for not less than 7 days...the salt water will either rot it away or you will drown and all will be ok
