Why am I SOO itchy all over my body?

Every winter I get such dry skin. I put lotion on regularly, cocoa butter, sarna, everything. I wake up in the middle of the night to find myself scratching my legs, arms, stomach, downward area, what is going on?! I plan on seeing a doctor, but I would like your opinions as well. I always get this terrible rash on my pinky knuckle in the winter, and on my hand. I can't take it anymore, it is so annoying.

Sounds link eczema or it could be psoriasis (myself and daughter have this). In either condition you are making things worse by using perfumed lotions etc. The best Over the Counter cream is E45. On top of this use an anti-hystamine i.e. piriton etc. You will notice a big difference. Do not use normal soap, use baby soap or dove. Also bubblebath and shower gels will make things worse.

Reply:You may have Eczema my daughter is the same way , you get ache and your skin is dry but go to doctor to make certain
Reply:if you have been swimming in the ocean lately then you might have sea lice
Reply:Use Eucurin cream instead of over the counter lotions that are only really designed for aroma.

Reply:what u have is called winter skin can try the aveeno skin relif cream . ots suppose to help with winter skin

I get the exact same thing - always have - believe it or not even have the pinky knuckle rash.





I use gold bond lotion or kiss my face lotion.

Reply:try bathing with pine tar soap. you can get it thru your pharmacy or online. it costs about $4 a bar.


good luck and i hope this helps. i use suave advance moisture lotion. it seems to help the winter time dry skin and irritations.
