Why is my face suddenly dry, itchy, and pink?

Yikes! I don't have sensitive skin, I have always had normal skin!


I have not changed my face products recently! I use alcohol based toner to clean makeup from under my eyes, St.Ives Apricot Scrub to gently exfoliate my face, and this foaming Loreal Face Cleanser. Even my neck itches! It's not very visible, just a light pink, but it feels like my skin is stretched out and dry. Also, the weather is cold here. Yes, I tried moisterizing. Any ideas to why this has happened %26amp; how to solve it? Thanks!

Try using your facial scrub to once every other day to prevent over drying and just continue to moisturize well and drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated.
Reply:OMG don't use alcohol based toner under your eyes to take off makeup! That totally dries out your skin and will give you wrinkles! I use an oil-free alcohol free makeup remover by Almay it's in a bluish bottle.


If you cant find it....vaseline would be better than toner.

Reply:you probably had an allergic reation to something you touched and then touched for neck. but some antbiotic ointment on it, and you should be ok, but yeah, its not smart to use alchol on your face, that can cause major damage, especially with cold weather. and only exfoliate 2-3 times a week, no more, because you can tear your skin if you do it to often.
Reply:Maybe check to see if anything has bismuth in it... That's what causes the same kind of reaction in bare minerals.





Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural and has awesome wear-ability, but please not bare minerals! There products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!
