Puffy itchy "scratch marks"?

Sometimes I get these marks on my torso, usually on my back, that look like scratch marks (after you scratch yourself sometimes your skin swells up), but a lot bigger, and they appear when I haven't scratched myself or anything. They go away, but they itch and it's weird... Any clue what it is?
